Privacy policy
Last updated September 15, 2026
Underdosed is built to work without knowing who you are. There are no accounts in this version, and we do not sell or share personal data with anyone.
What stays on your phone
- Your profile (sex, age, weight, goal, diet). It only adjusts dose targets and never leaves the device.
- Your scan history, your stack, reminder settings and check-ins.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. "Reset app" in the You tab does the same.
What leaves your phone
- Label photos you scan. When you take or choose a photo, a reduced copy is sent to our server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API to read the text on the label. We do not store the photo on our server. Anthropic processes it under its API terms and does not use API inputs to train models.
- Catalog searches. Product names you search or browse are sent to our database (hosted on Supabase) to return results. No account or identifier is attached.
- Links to Amazon. Tapping a product link opens Amazon in your browser. Links may include an affiliate tag that pays Underdosed a commission; Amazon's privacy policy applies from that point.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no tracking across apps or sites.
- No health data is collected. Your profile is used on the device only.
- No data is sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Permissions
Camera and photo library access are used only to read a Supplement Facts panel you choose. Notifications are used only for the reminders you turn on.
Children
Underdosed is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
